Migraines are more than just headaches. They are a complex neurological condition that can significantly affect a child’s ability to learn, participate in activities, and enjoy everyday life. National Migraine and Headache Awareness Month is an opportunity to raise awareness about the challenges faced by those living with migraines and the importance of advancing research to improve treatment options.
In recognition of National Migraine and Headache Awareness Month, we wanted to highlight our ongoing Pediatric Migraine clinical research studies. We are currently enrolling children and adolescents who experience migraines into multiple migraine studies to help researchers better understand these conditions and evaluate potential new treatment approaches.
Currently Enrolling Pediatric Migraine Studies:
- Pediatric Migraines – For children between the ages of 6 – 17 who have been experiencing migraines for at least 6 months and have been experiencing between 1 and 14 migraine attacks per month
- Pediatric Chronic Migraine – For ages 12 – 17 years old who have had a history of migraines for at least 6 months and experience 15 or more headache days per month
- Kaleidoscope Pediatric Migraine – For children between the ages of 6 – 17 who have 4 to 14 migraine attacks per month with moderate to severe headaches and are currently taking or have been taking at least 1 oral medication for treating migraine attacks
These studies are designed to support the development of innovative therapies that may help reduce migraine frequency, severity, and the overall impact migraines can have on daily life. If your child experiences migraines and you are interested in learning more about clinical research opportunities, visit our website today to see if they may qualify for one of our currently enrolling studies.
