Erik was born in Terron, Coahuila, Mexico, and moved to Northeastern Arkansas when he was 8 years old. He studied psychology at the University of Arkansas and loves working with people, specifically in mental health. Erik has previously worked as a paraprofessional with children with adverse childhood experiences and in a neurological psychology clinic doing brain mapping. 

 

As a clinical research coordinator, Erik works as a liaison between the principal investigator, sponsors, and patients. This allows him to combine two things he loves: research and face-to-face work with patients. 

 

Outside of work, you can find Erik experimenting with cooking foods and recipes from other cultures, hanging out with friends, and reading non-fiction.
