David Michael Weed
Pediatrician
David Michael Weed, MD is a lifelong resident of Arkansas and a board-certified pediatrician with more than 25 years of clinical experience. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hendrix College in 1991 and received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1995. Dr. Weed completed his pediatric internship and residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in 1998 and has been in continuous pediatric practice in Central Arkansas since that time.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Weed has extensive experience in clinical research, having served as both a Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator on multiple pediatric vaccine and nutritional studies. His research background includes trials involving pneumococcal, influenza, MMR, hepatitis A, and meningococcal vaccines, as well as dietary management studies in pediatric populations. He is trained in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and human subject protection and is currently involved in research activities with Preferred Research Partners.
Outside of medicine and research, Dr. Weed enjoys fishing, hiking, and music.
